Villa Aurelia sits directly on the Diani Beach cliff, reached by a private lift cut into the rock. The terraces step down toward an infinity pool that appears to dissolve into the Indian Ocean.
The house has been in the same family for four generations. Lime plaster, hand-painted tiles and mahogany beams were left exactly as they were; the plumbing and air conditioning were rebuilt in 2022.
Breakfast is served on the lowest terrace by request — local fruit, mandazi from the bakery two streets up, and coffee roasted on the coast.
